Throughout the entire Zelda series, I’ve always wanted Link and Zelda to end up together somehow, but every single time Zelda’s like:
“Yes, Hyrule is now safe, thanks to you, you’ve just cleared every dungeon and defeated the most evil man in the land, and saved my life because if I died, Hyrule would cease to exist and everyone would be a slave to (insert name of main villain of game here). But now we have to go our separate ways and pretend we never met. Kthnxbye.
Love, Zelda”
My personal opinion on what you’ve stated.
So, you don’t like the game because it doesn’t fall into the cliché of all other movies, books, television shows, and video game? Because the princess doesn’t end up with her knight in shining armor? Is that what you’re trying to say?
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but…
isn’t that one of the reasons Zelda was so fantastic? It didn’t fall into the same category as everything else? It broke the mold and became something new and fascinating, something that people had never experienced before. When you play a Zelda game, it takes you into a whole other world. You get lost in the land of Hyrule and you find yourself wanting to know more and more about the game, it’s story and the characters.
Maybe Zelda games are not right for you, but don’t be so close minded. Do some research. Maybe play a few of the games. Because reading what you’ve said, and I quote “(insert name of main villain of game here)” this makes it sound as if you’ve never play before. Any person who has played a Zelda game would know that the villain is Ganondorf.
So before you go bashing something, try it out, you might end up liking it.
